Introduction
hideThanks for visiting, and welcome!
This site began with a little screed I wrote: Why We Really, Really Need the Definitive Guide to Bright Green Living
I wrote that rant for purely selfish reasons (I really do want to live more sustainably), but it turns out I'm not the only one who feels that way. A bunch of people emailed, called or left comments on Worldchanging, saying that they, too, had been thinking that such a resource was needed. We began to talk about how we might help something like this emerge.
As our conversation unfolded, some of the participants pointed out that a Wiki was the obvious tool to use for building such a resource. After all, we don't have any money, we don't even have an organization -- all we have is a loose network of smart, passionate people who believe that we can live on this planet as if we planned to stay; that sustainable prosperity is not an oxymoron.
With a Wiki, a large number of people can share ideas through the creation and editing of community documents (if you don't know what a Wiki is and you'd like to know more, start here). The hope was that if we built a Wiki to help people share what they knew about bright green living, that folks would work together to build a resource no one of us could build alone.
Here's that Wiki, on its way to becoming that resource. We hope that you'll do your part to help make it better. Remember, the revolution starts with a recommendation. Share what you know.
