Future Salons are monthly meetings where trends and innovations in science, technology, business, and society are discussed against the backdrop of accelerating technological change. Meetings often take the form of lectures and presentations given by experts, but round table and panel discussions as well as book reviews also occur.

The Future Salon Network is an educational arm of the Acceleration Studies Foundation. It is part of our mission to help people to form foresight networks in their own communities. If you are interested in attending a Future Salon, look for a salon in your area by visiting our Future Salon Network Portal. If you'd like to start your own, review the guidelines there, then contact us. We'd love to help you start a salon in your area.

General Tips

Salongoers and salon leaders are advised to do at least three things in their wiki:

1. Collect feedback for salon improvements.
2. Post theme and speaker suggestions for coming salons.
3. Share notes and slides from past talks, as well as related links/material.

Potential Speakers

Salon leaders are always looking for great and relevant speakers. If you find a potential speaker on the future of some topic, please post this valuable lead to the wiki page of the salon closest to that speaker's location. Include contact info if possible (if private, email it to the salon leader instead). For speakers who don't live near any of our salons or whose location you don't know, please post your suggestions below:
