Identity 2.0 Design Guidelines and the Evolution of the SXIP Protocol
---------------------------------------
Presenter: Dick Hardt, Founder and CEO, Sxip Identity
Time: 30 - 45 minutes including 15 minutes Q&A.

Abstract

It is a clear that a new generation of identity management and processing is upon us. Kim Cameron's "Laws of Identity" provide a great basis for the social requirements of an identity system. This talk will walk through the Laws of Identity and outline the technical implications of each law, giving a foundation for technical evaluation of Identity 2.0 protocols.

The Simple eXtensible Identity Protocol (SXIP) was first released in September of 2004 and has received considerable peer review in the past year. Sxip Identity and others have been working with developing applications that use the protocol and many leassons have been learned and new problem domains identified. This has led to evolving the protocol, SXIP 2.0

This talk will review SXIP 1.0, present the feedback received, and describe the enhancements in SXIP 2.0 and how the protocol supports the Identity 2.0 Design Guidelines.
