Amoungus is a blogging website created by Three young like minded people from India in 2007. The site was created to mainly help the working class people with their daily problems in their workplace .

Amoungus is structured in such a simple way , so that all working class people ( even without computer knowledge ), can you use it without much difficulty . Though the site seems to be developed only for the IT population , at core the site has built in business logic for any worker to use it effectivly - accross any country .

Moto behind the creation of Amoungus

The main moto and aim of Amoungus is to help people come out with thier problems - which they face in thier workplace . The problems that cannot be told out in open can be posted in this site . The posted articles can be viewed by anyone - and anyone can comment on that article . Thus it makes a problem faced by someone , visible to everyone . The site aims at creating a union amoung the workers to discuss their problems - which might get noticed by the appropriate person and get resolved . More than just allowing the articles to get listed - Amoungus.com figures out the biggest and most notified problems each week and does a investigation on it and displays the result .

Message behind the Logo -

We all know the original spelling of "A m o n g u s" . But the "U" was inserted intensionally to make a significance . It literally means - " It is always U who is important amoUngs "

The caption - tries to bring out the fact that " Everybody in this world has something to say , which they cant say out due to many reasons" and that Amoungus solves this problem , and provides a way for them to tell out things

Experts View
Weeks picture

General View
This page displays a pagenated list of all the articles entered into the site so far . A viewer need not register himself with Amoungus to view this General view .

• Each article shows a 'Subject' in the first line , [ the 'Author' , 'Date' submitted , about which 'Company' , and 'Country' ] - in the second line , a bit of the Description in the following lines , the last line shows - how much comments that article has received / if the article is present in the Experts View it is marked as here . By clicking on this icon you can view the post in Experts View .
• The small Yellow box on the left side of each Article shows , how many times this article has been visited .
• By clicking on either the Subject or the "More" text or on comments you can enter to he full view of that particular article

This page has options to sort the page by 'Most Viewed' , 'Most Commented' , 'Most Cheered' , 'Latest on Top'
The page also has more advanced search options . This search can be activated by clicking on the symbol , on the Top right . Using these advanced search options you can search the posts according to your required criteria .

Experts View
This page displays a pagenated list of all the articles selected to be reviwed by amoungus EXPERTS . A viewer need not register himself with Amoungus to view Experts View.

• Well - What is this ( so called ) Experts View ?

Relax - it is not so complicated as it sounds :) . In a nutshell - Every Article that gets the maximum number of comments each week , gets selected to be reviewed by experts here .
_This page is editable only by 3 types of users ( amoungus EXPERTS / Defend users / Article owner )
_A Defend User is one who argues and defend's an issue( artice ) about his company . A Defend user of a particular company can only defend articles related to his company .
_Article owner - is the person who has originally written that article ( which has got selected for Experts View ) .

So , in short there will be a real time debate going on between the Experts , Defend users and the article owner ( well , it can even be you ! ) ... As seen in General View - There are various SEARCH options present in this page also . What more - You can also view articles based on 'Most Viewed' , 'Most Commented' , 'Most Cheered' , 'Latest on Top' !

Weeks Picture
Amoungus will be displaying pictures each week . These pictures will be drawn on the theme taken form the latest topic present in the Experts View . Mostly it will be cartoons ( It will also be pictures given by users ) .

This page will also contain a subject that will give a brief description about that picture ...

Hhmmmmm . Good site - it has helped me to come out some of my problems in ma work place :-)

Dude the site seems to be gud :) ... espcially the CONTROL PANEL u give is really making me more attached to the site .... :) ... expecting more features people :)
