This is a directory of Fortune 500 companies that have business blogs, defined as: active public blogs by company employees about the company and/or its products.
According to our research, 58 (11.6%) of the Fortune 500 are blogging as of 5/17/08. The table below lists these companies, a sampling of their blogs, and links to Fortune 500 business blog reviews.
If you would like to volunteer to write a review of a Fortune 500 corporate blog, simply post that review on your own blog and then link to the review from this wiki. As a courtesy please also mention and link to the wiki in your review. See the Volunteer Signup page for details.

This site began as a collaboration between Chris Anderson (Wired Magazine) and Ross Mayfield (Socialtext). A post giving the background of the project is here. Original data compiled by Wired Magazine. See the About page for more details.
As of October 2007 Easton Ellsworth (We Know Media) and John Cass (PR Communications) working with Ross Mayfield (Socialtext) have instigated a volunteer effort to expand on the existing wiki and combine the wiki with the Fortune 500 Blog Project Wiki, another wiki project that sought to review all the Fortune 500 companies that blog. You can learn more about the background to that project on the History of Fortune 500 Company Wiki's page.
Once we've got this list in pretty good shape, we plan to add share price data to create a Business Blogging Index, comparing the stock performance of companies that blog with those that don't. Here's why. A spreadsheet version of that with a snapshot of this list from 12/30/05 is here.
This wiki also contains information about Global 1,000 Business Blogging efforts.
We are exploring the Spectrum of Corporate Social Media for further classification.
Please feel free to add or modify pages -- even this one -- as you see fit. That's the idea of a Workspace.
