Non-bundled offers. By using the same provider for broadband and telephony consumers can reduce the price by $3-$7 per month.

4. Average speeds available to consumers

512 kb/s available in most part of the country.
8/1 available in most cities.
24/1 available in major cities.
In some smaller northern cities the standard offer is now 100 Mbit/s based on utiloty or TeliaSnoera dark fibre to apartment blocks. First small fibre to the single residential home projects are starting.

5. Misc

Broadband penetration in 15-74 age group 47 % (3.1 million persons) in Q2 2005 according to Mediavision (pdf, in Swedish).

Triple play (broadband + telephony (often IP telephony) + TV) is starting to get traction. Driven by cable companies Comhem and UPC/Chello and broadband company Bredbandsbolaget, but telecom operators are also pushing triple play but in reality offering broadband + telephony.

Bredbandsbolaget is owned by Telenor.
