- I would be interested in hearing about Taguchi methods and how it can be used for designing the user experience of an on demand application.
- Hi, I'm excited to go to my first DCamp! I'm a Mechanical Engineering student from the University of Rochester. I took a class in Taguchi Robust Design and I've done an in depth engineering project using the Taguchi robust design to optimize a catapult. I can present about the basics of Taguchi design methods and using it for general optimization but not about user experiences. I'm kind of nervous about presenting at a DCamp. I've never been to a DCamp, and don't know what people expect. Please let me know if you'd like me to give a short talk and how detailed you'd like me to get. - Dan DanNathanRoberts "AT" gmail "DOT" com
- I would like to know how screenreaders (for the blind) can use AJAX-based UIs
- I would like to hear how GreaseMonkey is being used by designers to prototype and test new UI concepts. I'm also interesed in how GreaseMonkey + Ajax can enable mashups.
- Probably little to add so far on prototyping with GreaseMonkey + Ajax, but can show you a working application using these for mashups - NancyF "at" gmail "dot" com
- What innovations serve non-geeks? I mean the elderly, the young, those with limited educations, and those who just don't care to learn complex concepts and interactions.
- Let's also include those who are illiterate - is that what you meant by "limited education"? - NancyF "at" gmail "dot" com
- What are recommendations for fitting the web on smaller-screen devices, e.g. cellular phones, PDAs, Origami.
- A user interface hiding latency
- How do design the interface to hide the latency from the user
- A mobile Ajax approach - without actually having Ajax
- Effective branding
- Current HCI trends/concerns for online security
- Methods for designing and documenting system behavior, i.e. the side of the conversation that may not be directly visible to the user
- Ideas and practices in joining wireframes and the annotations about the wireframes (related to #9)
- Next generation widgets. Doesn't it seem sometime that the everything we do is made of text, buttons, and menus? Isn't there something else? What's next?
- whither information visualization.
