Use a wiki to share agendas and notes before, during and after phone conferences.
- Post the time, date, and call-in number to the project wiki's front page.
- Before the conference, post the agenda to its own page on the wiki, e.g. "Staff meeting 2005-10-15, Agenda". Team members can add and edit agenda items. (see Meeting agendas in the Workspace tour for an idea of what an agenda page might look like.)
- Make links to relevant wiki pages in the agenda.
- Meeting Notes: During the meeting, a designated notetaker can put things down on a separate page.
- After the meeting, send the Meeting Notes page along with a link to team members who weren't at the meeting. (Under the (more) tab, that's "Send page by email"). Team members may follow the link and add comments to the page.
- Create an "archive page" to collect links to past meeting notes. Begin the following meeting with a review of the last meeting.
Some more ideas...
If you are feeling brave enough to experiment further:
- Use Instant Messaging, IRC or Skype multiparty chat to make it easy for people to share links to wiki pages or web sites during the call. (This is called a backchannel.)
- When the call is over, copy and paste the backchannel notes into the Meeting Notes wiki page for the conference as a record.
- Use a multi-user synchronous editor like SubEthaEdit or MoonEdit to take notes simultaneously. Paste them into the Meeting Notes page as a record.
- Record the call, and then upload the audio for the call as an attachment to it, for instant replay. (Note that national, state, or local law may require notification to call participants about recordings.)
Suggestions : how about including a small player like dewplayer
About the usability to include a mp3 file... How about including a small player to play any mp3 file like this one... PodcastWiki.mp3 . For the moment, I think It's not very simple to include any phone-call record. We could copy-paste some code to include the dewplayer.
But how about writing something like Podcast:Filename.mp3.com which would automatically include a nice player ? cd
