Trying to figure out how to add Google gadget widgets in Socialtext...think i'm missing something here...?
Hi Ed,
We are currently not exposing the ability to add third party gadgets as we are still engaged in product development around this feature. Please check back on exchange as this enhancement should be coming this quarter and we will publicize it here.

Thanks John. I was able to figure it out by looking at the "gallery" page - you're right, the current add process is way too awkward, but it does work nicely once you get everything typed in.

so the components might look like this:
in the google interface there's a way to get a url for a gadget, e.g.
http://www.google.com/ig/adde?moduleurl=http://glitchnyc.com/json/oil-price.xml&source=imag
the relevant parts of this are
http://glitchnyc.com/json/oil-price.xml&source=imag
the base part of the Socialtext interface is
http://www.socialtext.net/?action=add_widget;location=}
so you should be able to put that all together. but not so obvious.

Hi Ed,
This page was updated with a proxy error message and the previous discussion wiped out, did you mean to do so? If it's a separate issue let's treat it as a new page.
Thanks!
