Tursday, February 23, 2006, 7-9:00 PMRalph Merkle, Distinguished Professor of Computing at Georgia Tech, will be speaking on the topics of Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine
Abstract: Disease and ill health are caused by damage at the molecular and cellular level. Today's medical tools are too large to deal with such damage. In the future, nanotechnology will let us build molecular medical devices guided by molecular computers, able for the first time to directly intervene at the root cause of most medical problems and cure them. (Further information on nanotechnology is available at http://www.zyvex.com/nano ). |
