This document outlines the expectations and responsibilities of ASF's Future Salon Moderators and Co-Moderators. Excerpts of this should be posted to our Future Salon Guidelines on a periodic basis. (http://accelerating.org/downloads/FutureSalonGuidelines_v3.1.pdf
Setting Meeting Times and Securing Locations
Ideally Salons will have established dates, times, and places that will be consistant from meeting to meeting. eg. Every third Friday of the month at SAP. If for any reason there is a change of time or location, it will be the responsibility of the moderators to notify attendees within a reasonable timeframe.
Choosing Topics and Inviting Speakers
It will be the responsibility of the Moderators to select topics of discussion and to invite speakers to their Salons. If there is difficulty deciding on a topic or finding a speaker for a topic that's been chosen, the FSN Director can provide support for both of these areas.
Web Duties
Getting group members into the Future Salon Network group on Linked In. Snapping digital pictures of new members at the meetings and sending them to members, with instructions on how to upload them to Linked In.
Moderating and Presentations
Ideally, moderators should present at least once a year to their own group on a new topic. If you had four moderators that could be 4 of the 12 months covered for a speaker. Makes speaker selection a lot easier to run, and more fun too.
Moderators should list their speaking availability and topics on the FSModerators Wiki (make this link at the Future Salon Wiki).
