Socialtext Dashboard

Socialtext Dashboard is a personal start page that helps you pay attention to the things you care about -- colleagues working on your projects, updates to your blogs and wikis, tasks, calendars, news updates, and more. You can personalize your start page with bits of content and tools called "widgets".

Socialtext People

Socialtext People is an optional component. Socialtext People provides a people directory extended with robust social networking features. You can find contact information for your colleagues, discover people with expertise and common interests, and find valuable information through your social connections.

New Look and Feel

If you have been using Socialtext, you will experience your familiar Socialtext Workspace with a very different look and feel.

• There is a new global navigation to help with finding your way around.
• The previous Workspace Dashboard feature has been separated into two functions.
• The new personal Socialtext Dashboard helps you keep track of activity across all of your workspaces
• All workspaces now use the Socialtext Workspace (workspace central page) as the main shared page of the workspace. If you have been using Announcements and Links for this purpose, simply copy the content on Announcements and Links to your new workspace central page.
