Goals
There are some short term goals we'd like to achieve:
- Make recommendations to CC on how Creative Commons metadata can be embedded in various media, in particular movie media.
- Make recommendations as to how much metadata should be embedded in media vs. external metadata
- Make recommendations on keyword and folksonomy tagging metadata.
- Create a list of metadatadesign issues.
There are some longer term goals:
- Make available platform independent C code or libraries for reading and writing embedded metadata for a variety of media.
- A plugin architecture for reading and writing embedded metadata
- A plugin architecture for uploading media metadata to a variety of services.
