Later this fall (2006) a group of network experts will try to meet up for a day long workshop to help define high level requirements for a network data standard. The goal is to have a simple and flexible data standard that can serve as an interchange format between network analysis applications. A good standard will also help with the collection of data on networks and on the sharing of those data collections widely amongst researchers.
Services to help with the interchange of data from this proposed standard and the specific formats used by current tools are also part of the plans.
First, an open meeting will be held in the bay area later this fall. If you are interested in attending, have suggestions for where or when it should happen, please edit this page and add additional pages to this wiki.
