WalkMesh Seattle (or should it be MeshWalk - I'm open to either)

After every conference, we go home energized with new knowledge, great ideas and fresh enthusiasm... that quickly dissipates as the reality of work settles in. We are going to try to change that - together.

WalkMesh is a walking unconference, an urban hike that provides exercise for your body and your mind. We will start Sunday morning after Gnomedex at 930am and end around 1230pm with an optional brunch (at 5 Spot ). Meet us at the original Starbucks and we will walk to Queen Anne stopping occasionally along the way to have some deeper conversations.

Our focus for the conversations at WalkMesh Seattle will be:

WalkMesh is a walking conference, conversations and discussions will happen as we walk, generally following an appreciative inquiry format where as one person explains their ideas others listen and ask questions - only, waiting for their turn to shift to their ideas and views. As we walk and talk, we will also be seeing the city of Seattle and the world around us together - you are encouraged to look around and find visual images that tie to your takeaways and follow up actions.

WalkMesh is free and open to anyone, come prepared to walk with comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Notecards w/binder clips will be provided (ala the Hipster PDA) and cameras are encouraged for documenting the interesting things we see. You probably won't need your laptop, unless you want the walk to be more of a workout then it already is. Bring money for beverages and brunch.
