Summary:

Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates
statistical elements of clinical trials and basic research. Interacts
with clinical department to determine protocol design. Evaluates
databases and statistical analyses programs. Maintains expertise in
state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical analyses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

• Lead statistical project teams, and manage the day-to-day work of statistical vendor staff and potentially, in-house, more junior statisticians
• Works as a member of a team to design and/or review protocols, case report forms, and statistical analysis plans
• Authors or reviews statistical sections of clinical statistical reports and regulatory documents.
• Interacts with statistical and data management contract vendors
• Develops local/global standard statistical programs

Qualifications:

Must
be able to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and
policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for
obtaining results.

Education and Experience:

Ph.D. and at least 5 years of relevant experience or an MS and at least 8 years of relevant of experience.

Computer Skills:

SAS® Programming, nQuery Advisor® and MS Office.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent written and oral communications.
