Software QA Engineer

CorTechs Labs, Inc. is developing MRI-based diagnostics for the
volumetric measurement of brain structures and the early detection of
specific Central Nervous System diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease
and Multiple Sclerosis. We are seeking candidates for a Software
QA/Test Engineer position. This individual will help develop and
support commercial software code that allows healthcare IT components
to interface with our diagnostic software components. As an important
member of a small, dynamic development team based in La Jolla, CA, you
will work closely with world-class scientists, engineers and physicians
who are participating in projects sponsored by the US National
Institutes of Health that are creating a next generation of intelligent
medical image analysis products.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in programming with Java/Python/Perl/C.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in QA/Software testing
• 1 to 2 years of experience with UML, RUP and its related tools.
• 1 to 2 years of experience with FDA regulation/compliance.
• Experience with FDA software auditing will be a plus.
• Experience with DICOM and medical imaging will be a plus.
• Good writing and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in writing test code and in architecting a test environment.
• Prepare and create related QA documents

Education

Candidates should have at least a B.S. in Computer Science or a
related discipline. Evidence of significant Software QA experience in
an FDA-regulated development environment may substitute for educational
requirements.
