SIGGRAPH attendees may also find value from other sociable technologies. This page is dedicated to pointing out some of those and how they are of value.
^^^DodgeballEvent hopping at SIGGRAPH can be loads of fun, but it's often hard to figure out where your friends are. Dodgeball is a service for your phone that lets you connect with those folks. Sign up and add your list of friends. When you arrive at a location, simply check in with Dodgeball through your mobile phone and it will inform all of your friends of your location. Even better, friends of friends will be informed if you're within a few blocks of each other so that you can meet new and interesting people.
^^^FlickrFlickr is a photo management site that allows you to share your photos with others. You can email photos from your computer or your camphone.
To add your photos to the S2004 Photos Collection, simply email your photos to: siggraph@photos.flickr.com - make certain to write your name in the body of the text so that you are properly credited. We will select some of these photos to be posted to the S2004 Blog
You can also create your own Flickr account to share photos with your friends or to automatically blog your photos.
^^^OrkutOrkut is a social networking service and 'an online community that connects people through a network of trusted friends.' There, you will find a SIGGRAPH community where other attendees have already gathered to talk about SIGGRAPH.
^^^SubEthaEditTaking notes during the conference? Curious who else is taking notes on the same talk? If you use a Mac, SubEthaEdit allows you to collaboratively take notes via Rendezvous.
