This is the weirdest comment function I've ever seen. (Some folk say
Web2.0 is all about read/write. And I wouldn't disagree, but would
strongly suggest that it's about user experience. [Notice I didn't say
"UX"? grin)
Anyhow ... hard to find a place to drop comments ... "not a welcoming
environment" would be overly harsh, but, well, you know, the essence of
PostModernism is "in effect", right?
So I'll just drop my block of text on my UserPage ... assuming I can find it.

Gee, don't I feel guilty. I just finished listening to the latest
podcast, including the bit on lurkers. I thought I should make mention
that I am here and thoroughly enjoying the show and the experiment. I
use your show with my High Schoolers to generate discussion of
technology and media. We too have been experimenting with wikis and
developed some of our own. Thank you and all the participants for the
quality material that I am able to use to get my students thinking and
reflecting on their environment.
