Well, here we are. A place I can not only espouse various thoughts and theories, but one where others can scribble all over them at will -- and either improve them, turn them into mush, or better or worse.

We'll certainly see.


There's a feedback loop here - and it's going on between parallel worlds.

The world of software models the real world. The real world emulates the software world. And back again. And so forth.

Did McNealy (Sun) have it right to begin with (but was, perhaps, a little early)? Was "the network the computer"? Is it? Or, to project to "real world" terms, is that which we call society (in all its forms) really the interconnections? Do the interconnections (as they become increasingly seamless) dwarf the principals -- in effect, if not in significance? (Essentially, we're talking a "brain-model" here -- the "wires" outrank the "stuff".)
