The editorial board for the Wikinomics Playbook will manage the development of the content.

One of the advantages of collaboration via wiki is the ability to empower workers and set up self-managing processes. The playbook will practice lean management, with the wiki management ground rules in play.

Composition: The editorial board (EB) will be formed, initially by invitation, but now self-selection (volunteering) is allowed. The EB will be comprised of volunteers drawn from the top contributors to the wikinomics wiki along with a member of the New Paradigm Staff.

Commitment: This project is designed to be volunteer friendly, assuming that most participants will be contributing a few hours, or perhaps some material they already have written. Members of the editorial board are expected to maintain a minimal level of participation, an hour a week on average.

Mission: The EB's job is to provide the leadership and oversight required to complete a publishable text.

Meetings: The EB will have a list serve for project updates and meta-discussion. They will meet (if necessary) via wiki meeting. To the extent that decisions are required, these will be debated in the wiki. Regular teleconferences will be used to facilitate the decision-making process. For the most part though, members will be editing pages destined to be in the book, just like anyone else.

How to Join - the best way to get on the editorial board is to contribute some excellent content or demonstrate your skill an wiki gardener, by doing so, you will likely get an invite. We are watching! Otherwise you can just volunteer by linking to your user page below.

If you have questions about participating in the editorial process please contact MLPilling (at gmail dot com).
