Which words should be links? Which words shouldn't?

I think at some point in time URLs and words will be "mashed up" -- such that hotels.com will automatically be a "link" to commercial hotels and/or hotels.de will automatically be a "link" to German hotels (hey, wait a second -- isn't that way it works already? ;)
