What is Your User Page?

You can start simply by using this page to describe your thoughts and experiences as you begin to use this wiki. You will do a lot of learning, and you will do a lot of thinking as you work here.

You will learn how to edit and create pages, and you will be excited and frustrated. Eventually you may want to make these notes about your experiences into a page of their own.

How can I create my own user page? (quick answer please)

To create a user page, simply add your name to the bottom of the list on the Wikinomics Community page, make your name a wiki link, save the page, and follow the link to edit.

How do I create my own user page? (Ok, give me the details)

In other words:
Click the Link above to the Wikinomics Community
Click the Edit button (or double click on that page if your profile allows that (see Settings Page))
Study the buttons and icons in the page editor (move your mouse over them for more information)

Now:
Place the mouse cursor at the end of the last name and press Enter to create a new line
Type your name on this new blank line, and move your mouse back over the line with the left button down to select it
Click the First Chain icon (Create link). Great, you have made your first wiki link
Click the Save button to add your name (and an empty link) to the Community page,

Finally:
Click on your name, and you will be taken to your own page
Now you can Click the Edit button (or double click on your new page) to start describing yourself,
Hooray, you now know 80% of what you need to know to use this wiki.

What is Wiki Etiquette?

A: Normally, in a wiki your user page is the only page you have the right to completely control the content.
A: You have the power to edit and completely wipe out other peoples work. Be careful for a while, then you can be bold.
A: Start editing other pages slowly for a while. Look to fit in to the type and focus of each wiki group.
