At New Paradigm, we believe that Mass Collaboration is a profoundly transformative opportunity for businesses and society in general. However, like every paradigm shift, it requires some heroes to overcome the inertia. Many leaders in business and social institutions are instinctively suspicious of massive online communities, and doubt that mobs could ever be smart.

We are looking for a few good people to help them overcome these fears and find a new level of success. Thats why we are encouraging members of the Wikinomics Community to help us write the Playbook. As this experiment moves forward we are going to be inviting a group of the top contributors to participate in some future projects. Details to follow.

Ok, folks, maybe not a nice thing to do, but I can't get behind the "Jedi" label. For you younger folks, put away the Star Wars action figures for a moment and hear me out. First of all, this is a made up "title" from the movies; it is a Lucasism. Second, it's a warrior of sorts, brandashing a light sabre, and I'll not dwell on the Jungian imagery that conjures. Even "may the force...blah, blah, blah" suggests some divine right thing I'd rather not go into for fear of evoking r-e-l-i-g-i-o-n. Now, "Gardner" has already become established, wiki wise, and evokes the appropriate connotations regarding wiki nurturing. The image is, at least to me, somewhat devoid of gender, but passive and supportive, in tune with Nature, yet possessing an engineered approach. I will not engage in my first "flame war" over this title, so change it back if you feel strongly, but remember to "smell the roses" and avoid the thorns.
