Venue and logistics:

I'm pleased to report that the venue and sponsor for this Wiki Wednesday is the creative consultancy ?What If! Innovation. This is particularly appropriate, as we have a few creativity related things we may try to add in to the agenda. My thanks to Anne-Fay Townsend for hosting and making the arrangements. Their address is ?What If! Innovation, The Glassworks, 3-4 Ashland Place, London, W1U 4AH. They are located not far from Marylebone High Street, and a short walk from Baker Street Station. Their map is here, and you can also find them on Google maps.

We aim for people to arrive around 18:15 for a 19:00 formal start.

London Wiki Wednesday social network:

London Wiki Wednesdays now has an easy to remember URL (which links to all of the wiki pages here), and a new Ning social network that you can contribute to. LondonWikiWednesdays.com links to this page, will always have the details of the next meeting, as well as a forum, photos, blog feeds, videos and a variety of wiki resources and links.

We also have a group you can join on Facebook.

We have Skype and Google lined up for follow on events, but we are always looking for venues and sponsors. Please contact David Terrar by mail or skype if you are interested.

Meeting content:

Anyone who attends can do a 5 minute show and tell on how they are using wiki and social media technology, but feel free to just come along and listen if you don't fancy presenting. We've got a bit lax at the last two meetings, but the 5 minute rule will be strictly adhered to from now on, to allow for more chat and networking time after the formal part of the session. Meeting format:

Here is the format.

6:15 Reception - food, refreshments, and some relaxed chat and meeting people
7:00 Introductions - Anne-Fay Townsend and David Terrar (who will also be the moderator/MC during the evening)
7:05 Open discussion - TBA
7:20 5 minute presentations + up to 5 minutes for subsequent questions, probably in the sequence of registration. The 5 minute rule will be applied rigorously this time around - we have a bell!
8:00 Close of of presentations and repair to local pub - the Prince Regent

(Most of our meetings this year have been full of lively discussion and lasted till around 10:00)

Facilities:

To be confirmed, but we'll have a projector, PC connected to the Internet, and hopefully the ability to hook up your own PC or Mac.
