This project will provide the following:
#A media"commons" - Free Internet hosting and serving for the foreseeable future for any youth-originated media, as determined by the partners to this project
#A standardized contribution system - Tools for uploading to the commons, integrated and standardized for universal use by the many youth media organizations worldwide, including location-based stations for public authoring access
#Tools for rating, sorting, searching the commons, and highlighting the best material
#Translation of upload instructions and other interface elements to broaden accessibility
#Social networking tools for collaboration, collective intelligence, reputation-based curating, intercommunication
#Pilot production of best-of shows
#Securing airtime for promising shows once they are proven online and on LinkTV.
#Free web-based editing tools
#Designs for low-cost location-based media stations for general use
#Responsible sponsorship

New advances in social networking (reputation systems, rating, real-time polling, etc.) will be leveraged to ensure that the most relevant, reliable, and valuable material, from each individual user's perspective, is easy to find. Many of the necessary tools exist, at least in part, but in order to be useful in a timely way, a concerted effort is needed to integrate, refine, and revise.
Here are some other ocmponents to consider:
It all comes down to Integration, Aggregation and Customization......
