SuperHappyDevHouse is a hackathon event that combines serious and not-so-serious productivity with a fun and exciting party atmosphere. Come to the DevHouse to have fun and get things done. Not a marketing event. It's a non-exclusive event intended for passionate and creative technical people that want to have some fun, learn new things, and meet new people.

Where: The Bryght Offices
When: May 11th, 1pm to 1am

Socialtext will supply a keg-o-beer. Bring your own high intensity fluorescents.

Free Geek will be here to accept hardware donations and raise e-waste awareness and assist with keg drainage. Bring hardware for hacking! Email us with ideas!!

There will also be a Slackathon in a corner somewhere. In the Slackathon area it is forbidden to talk about work and there will be no meetings or processing. If any work conversation happens you are free to put fingers in ears and say "La la la I can't hear you I'm at the Slackathon".

If you were there late in the evening, you might have noticed cookies. As promised, here are the recipes.

Surprise cookies (small, white, chocolate-laden)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or foil (NOT oil).
In mixer, combine egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually turn up speed until eggs are foamy. Slowly add sugar while mixer is running (I use swifty baker's sugar) until mixture forms stiff peaks. Fold in remaining ingredients.
Drop by the teaspoonful on cookie sheets and put in oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn off oven and allow cookies to remain 2 hours to overnight. Remove from oven and store in an airtight container.

Ginger creams (gingerbread light)

Heat oven to 350 degrees

Combine:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup mild molasses
1 cup sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 cup sour milk
(my mom used aged buttermilk, but you can create your own sour milk by adding a bit of lemon juice)

Sift together and add:
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
about 4 cups flour

Spread into a standard half-sheet pan and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes.

When half-cool, drizzle with a light powdered sugar glaze. (1/4 cup melted butter, 3 TB lemon juice, powdered sugar to loose consistency)

I can bring 4 x 24 Port Switches if they're needed. Might bring a Mini-itx box too.
