Goals

There are some short term goals we'd like to achieve:

• Make recommendations to CC on how Creative Commons metadata can be embedded in various media, in particular movie media.
• Make recommendations as to how much metadata should be embedded in media vs. external metadata
• Make recommendations on keyword and folksonomy tagging metadata.
• Create a list of metadatadesign issues.

There are some longer term goals:

• Make available platform independent C code or libraries for reading and writing embedded metadata for a variety of media.
• A plugin architecture for reading and writing embedded metadata
• A plugin architecture for uploading media metadata to a variety of services.
