Socialtext submitted it to the OSI on June 25th, 2007 (See For Approval: Common Public Attribution License (CPAL)) and it was approved by the OSI on July 26, 2007. CPAL OSD Compliance explains how CPAL is compliant with all 10 points of the Open Source Definition (OSD).
