Scott Anderson
Director, Enterprise Brand Communications, Hewlett-Packard Company.
Corporations around the globe are becoming increasingly aware of the power of the "blogosphere" and pondering whether blogging is just the latest trend, or whether there is a legitimate and compelling place for the blog in the corporate communications mix. In 2004, Hewlett Packard, an $85Bn technology solutions provider, officially entered the blogosphere by launching a blog platform on HP's website at www.hp.com/go/blogs. From the onset, HP approached blogging from a pragmatic perspective - as a compelling vehicle for genuine, open dialog between HP's business and technology experts and the company's customers.

Scott Anderson, HP's Director of Enterprise Brand Communications, pioneered HP's enterprise blog program. Guiding the program through its infancy over the past year, Scott encountered both the challenges and the rewards of building an authentic blog platform within a corporate environment. In his presentation, Scott will look beyond the hype and share his real-life experiences about what it really takes to introduce the blogosphere into the enterprise in a way that helps the company create intimate connections with customers while still playing an important and effective role in the company's marketing strategy.
