Open media registry
hideThis wiki is the preliminary home for discussion around an open media registry.
^^^^Goal
The single goal of this effort is to interconnect open media repositories, so that users can easily access hundreds of thousands and soon to be millions of grassroots media works. We'd like to shoot for early 2006 to begin gluing these repositories (Ourmedia, NowPublic.com, Undergroundfilm.org, etc.) to each other with common schemas so that APIs could be built allowing users to access personal media and create media jukeboxes and image albums and directories regardless of what servers they're located on.
