I am Peter Kaminski.

I am Community Tech Maven at Dreamfish, a social enterprise which supports organizations and individuals to create life-affirming change. To do so, we use (and share) our expert knowledge and creative skills in social software, community spaces and interpersonal/group dynamics.

Previously, I was CTO & co-founder of Socialtext, a venture-backed company which creates great software for collaboration in business. You are looking at a Socialtext wiki right now; I am using this wiki to be my home on the web.

Bio

I am a friendly, helpful technologist and entrepreneur with a deep interest in helping people connect with each other. I think of myself as a bridge builder. Five centuries ago, I would have built with stones, spanning rivers to connect people on opposite banks; these days I use computers, software and networks, and span global geography and time.

I work with collaborative information and communication technologies. I have been an Internet services pioneer as a founder of Socialtext, Yipes Communications, NanoSpace, NETCOM Online, and PDIAL.

I have deep professional experience in information and communication technologies, user interfaces, interactive technology, natural language, object-oriented systems analysis, digital graphics and sound, and entrepreneurial business.

I have a passion for helping people connect, with the belief that connecting with others makes the world a better place. As the saying goes: love is all you need. :-)
