Posted by on May 18 3:43amThis company just parrots the usual DRM fallacy. 'content' is being 'stolen' and so you should give them money to lock it up, and so on.
Here's the truth - DRM destroys value. DRM deliberately makes the information less useful, and thus less valued by the potential customer. who will either not buy it, or expect a reduced price.
There are sound technical arguments why secure DRM is impossible, but the economic one is the clinching one for me.

RH100 TAKE The explosion of digital content has generated
strong demand content protected for content
protection and management technologies. DigiCAPS
has developed its own DRM solution that allows
content providers to deliver digital content securely
over land based or wireless networks. With a world
content market estimated to be worth $165 billion
last year, growing at a clip of 33 percent per year,
there is great opportunity. Forrester Research, estimates
that the rise of digital piracy will result in
digital content providers, and book publishers, losing
an estimated $4.6 billion by 2005. DigiCAP’s support
of several international standards such as OMA, 3GPP
DRM Specification, and RSASecurity PKCS has
allowed the company to establish a strong position in
the market and reach profitability. Its focus on the
mobile DRM market has paid off with a strong solution
and widespread adoption by big international
customers such as SK Telecom, LG Electronics,
Internet MBC, and Canon System Solution (Japan).
