Web2Open
The Open Grid

Aaaaaah...there is nothing like the rush of the Open Grid format at a _____Camp.
Basically, there will be a wall that looks something like the one in the picture with rooms across the top and times down the side and blank spaces in between. It is up to attendees to fill up the spots. No real rules on what to fill in, but know that Web2Open goes by the law of 2 feet...if people don't dig what they are seeing, they can get up on their two feet and move to another session. Talking about the cool stuff you are working on or penetrating questions you are trying to answer is cool. Be yourself. No pressure...really. ;)
And we want everyone to participate in some way, shape or form, whether you give a session, lead a discussion or take notes and post them to the wiki (this one!) post-presentation, Web2Open only works when everyone is engaged.
Hey, and to make it simpler for folks thinking about what to present, why not fill in some stuff that you would like to discuss/hear about/etc. here?
Suggestions for Sessions I'd Like to See:
Today is the first day of the Open Grid Forum meeting here in Chapel Hill, NC. And during the the opening session the President of the Open Grid Forum (OGF) Craig Lee and the VP of Standards Chris Smith both stated the OCCI working group meeting as a high-light virtual private server.
Currently it looks like the OCCI will be the first group to have a implementational ready API! And with this background and the collaborations to other groups like DMTF, SNIA and other standardization bodies it looks like OCCI is becoming a great thing! And for me fun to work on :-)
OCCI has currently a great momentum! And with over 130 subscribed persons on the mailing-list there is a lively and active discussion. Contributions come from individuals, large companies and end-users of the Cloud. Even some of the persons on the list have their own Wikipedia page.
