What is Wiki Wednesday?

  • Wiki Wednesdays are held (mostly) the first Wednesday of each month
  • People get together to chat, learn about wikis, find jobs, talk deals and generally cavort
  • Some events have featured speakers, some have a round robin of 5 minute talks, some are unstructured
  • You RSVP and swing by if you like
  • Wiki Wednesday is (usually) the first Wednesday of the month.
  • What else should I know?

Monthly Wiki Wednesdays:

Cities interested in having an event:

Make a page for your event, tag it, and put a link to it right here on this page.

Past events:

Past events are listed on their own page and on their city's page, which you can find from locations.

When you have an event, let us know what you talked about. Write it up, link outward to people and blogs, link to it from the location page, and tag it "past event".

Who's Coming?

  • Developers, bloggers, social software geeks, web 2.0 and open source
  • Entrepreneurs, deal mavens, general business folk
  • Wiki editors, administrators, teams, gardeners
  • Individuals looking to leave work to chat at a local watering hole
  • WikiWed 2.0 Demo

Karma Distribution

Credit for the name "Wiki Wednesday" goes to Phil Wolff, who had a flash of inspiration at Supernova (even though he wasn't the first to use the term).

Mad props also to Russell Beattie and Mike Rowehl of Mobile Monday, for starting alliterative tech days, and to the Tag Tuesday folks (you know who you are) for making it a trend! :-)
